Para este indicador, UNESCO proporciona datos para Brasil desde 1980 a 2018. El valor medio para Brasil durante ese período fue de 97.18 por ciento con un mínimo de 83.91 por ciento en 1980 y un máximo de 99.2 por ciento en 2018.

Definición: Youth (15-24) literacy rate (%). Total is the number of people age 15 to 24 years who can both read and write with understanding a short simple statement on their everyday life, divided by the population in that age group. Generally, ‘literacy’ also encompasses ‘numeracy’, the ability to make simple arithmetic calculations.
